Neurology
The Division of Pediatric Neurology provides inpatient consultative services at both Children's of Alabama and UAB Hospital regional NICU. In addition, the service administers and directs a 8 bed inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Patients with seizures/epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders, neuroinflammatory disorders, pediatric strokes, neonatal neurology concerns, neurodegenerative/neurogenetic disorders, etc. are seen within the hospital and within our clinics.
We also have robust research activities in various disciplines including epilepsy, headache, neuromuscular, neuroinflammatory, medical education, and quality improvement.
