Plan Your Visit
We would like to take a few moments to tell you how important you and your child are to us. Please allow us to explain a few of the common reasons we see patients and why there might be delays during your office visit. A typical office visit could take a minimum of two hours. Here are a few reasons why:
A child with chronic ear problems may have the following done:
- Hearing tested by audiology
- Evaluation by the doctor and/or nurse practitioner
- If indicated, your child may be scheduled for surgery, and given pre-and post-operative teaching.
- Ear procedure: wax removal, ear suctioning, or ear culture
- Post-op visits: suture or packing removal, and/or dressing change
A child with chronic strep throat may have the following done:
- Evaluation by the doctor and/or nurse practitioner
- If indicated, your child may be scheduled for surgery
A child with croup/stridor or any voice related problems, may have the following:
- Evaluation by the doctor and/or nurse practitioner
- Scope evaluations which require special equipment
- Education regarding any special diagnosis of the voice box
- If indicated, your child may be scheduled for surgery
- May require special airway x-rays or diagnostic test.
Emergency patient work-in
Doctors delayed in the operating room or emergency operations.
