Dr. Buie graduated from the University of South Alabama (USA) with a B.S. degree in Biology, and earned his M.D. degree at USA in 1987. He completed his pediatrics internship and residency in Mobile and moved to Dothan to practice in 1992. He had been associated with Dothan Pediatrics for 13 years prior to his move to Greenvale Pediatrics in July 2008. He is board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of pediatrics. |

Dr. Drew Buie is an Alabama native, born in Mobile and raised in Dothan. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. Prior to beginning medical school at UAB, he served as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) with the Central Alabama American Red Cross. During his time with the organization, he aided in disaster relief and taught disaster education to children and adults all over central Alabama. After earning his M.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Drew completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at UAB and Children’s of Alabama. Dr. Drew is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He lives in Birmingham and joined Greenvale Pediatrics in July 2020, where he is excited to continue serving the communities of Alabama. |

Dr. Cosgrove graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with a bachelor's degree in psychology. A graduate of LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, she did her internship and residency there in a combined internal medicine/pediatric program. She worked as a pediatric emergency room physician at Charity Hospital before her four years of private practice in New Orleans. She worked part-time in Birmingham before joining the Greenvale staff full-time. She has taken medical mission trips to Kenya, Papua New Guinea, and South Africa, and Haiti. She is actively involved at Church of the Highlands and enjoys traveling. Most recent trips include to Japan, Iceland, and Costa Rica. |

Dr. Flaniken grew up in Pelham, Alabama. He attended Princeton University, where he received his undergraduate degree in molecular biology. He attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he graduated with his Medical Doctorate in 2014. He then completed his internship and residency, specializing in pediatrics, at UAB and Children's of Alabama. Dr. Flaniken began private practice at Greenvale Pediatrics- Alabaster in July 2017. He and his wife Tara have one son. He is active in his church, Briarwood Presbyterian, and enjoys playing tennis, viola, hiking, and traveling. |

Dr. Joseph Jolly attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for his B.S. degree, and received his M.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga. He has practiced pediatrics continuously in the Birmingham area since completing residency in 1997. Dr. Jolly is Board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a Mississippi State fan and owns multiple bulldogs. |

Dr. Kami Sester attended Indiana University for her B.S. degree as well as her M.D. degree. She completed her internship and residency at UAB and the Children's Hospital of Alabama in 2001. She practiced pediatrics in Dothan, Alabama for five years prior to her employment at Greenvale. She is Board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. |

Dr. Todd Washko graduated from Tulane University with a degree in political science and received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Washko trained in pediatrics at Tulane, after which he worked in pediatric hospital medicine, emergency care and primary care in Denver, St. Louis, New Orleans and Charleston before moving to Birmingham and joining Greenvale Pediatrics in 2019. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a former residency program director, with a special interest in teaching medical students, families, and anyone else who will listen to him. He lives with his wife Julie (a hematologist at UAB), his son Sam and daughter Meredith, and his very old Labrador retriever, Deuce. His interests outside of medicine include singing and playing guitar, gardening, reading, and travel. |

Dr. Anderson came to Greenvale Pediatrics in July of 1999. Prior to coming to Greenvale, he served his internship and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1996-1999. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Anderson received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in English in 1992 and his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1996. |

Dr. Carter graduated from Auburn University with a BS degree in Biomedical Sciences. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Alabama School Of Medicine, and completed his pediatric internship and residency through the Pediatric Residency Training Program at UAB in June 2012. From July 2012 through June 2013 Dr. Carter served as Chief Resident for the Department of Pediatrics in the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. In July 2013, Dr. Carter began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics-Hoover. |

Dr. Dudgeon joined Greenvale Pediatrics in August of 2000. Prior to coming to Greenvale, he served a two-year residency at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. In May of 2000, he won the Garber Award for the most distinguished resident at Children's Hospital in Denver. A Tuscaloosa native, Dr. Dudgeon received his bachelor's degree in biology from Birmingham-Southern College in 1993 and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1997. He has traveled to Zimbabwe and Brazil to practice medicine and is involved in a variety of civic and outreach activities. |

Stephen Taylor McClanahan, MD, FAAP Dr. Taylor McClanahan grew up in Muscle Shoals, AL. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine at UAB. He completed his pediatric residency at Children’s of Alabama through the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. His professional interests include routine healthcare for all ages, healthcare for internationally and domestically adopted children, and trauma-informed care of children. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, traveling, reading, being outdoors and serving at church. |

Dr. Spencer was born in Oregon but raised in Alabama. She attended The University of Alabama as an undergraduate, where she finished Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She received her Medical Doctorate from The University of Alabama School of Medicine (UAB) and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s of Alabama in June 2021. Dr. Spencer has a special interest in addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and helping children build resilience in order to mitigate the effects these experiences have on children’s health. Outside the practice of medicine, she enjoys reading, being outdoors, leading a church group in her home, and spending time with her husband and golden retriever. She began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics in August 2021. |

Dr. Stewart graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham with a BS degree in Biology-Psychology. In 2009 she received her Medical Doctorate from the University of South Alabama School of Medicine in Mobile. She completed her pediatrics internship and residency through the Pediatric Residency Training Program at UAB in June 2012. Dr. Stewart began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics-Hoover in July 2012. |

Dr. Stone joined Greenvale in July, 2001. He attended UNC-Chapel hill as an undergraduate and received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at UAB and Children's of Alabama, and then completed two years of a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas before coming to Greenvale. |

Dr. Wright is from the state of Alabama. He graduated from UAB with a BS degree in Biology. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, and completed his pediatric internship and residency through the Medical College of Georgia Pediatric Residency Training Program in June 2013. Dr. Wright began private practice with Greenvale Pediatrics Alabaster in August 2013. Additionally, Dr. Wright has a special interest in clinical issues dealing with asthma, allergic rhinitis, and newborn care. He enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, and he also enjoys the Florida gulf coast and is active in his church, Church of the Highlands. |

John Cortopassi, MD Dr. Cortopassi received his bachelor's degree from Spring Hill College and his medical degree from the University of South Alabama Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at UAB and has been associated with Greenvale Pediatrics since 1980. He is Board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His professional and community roles have included Board membership in the Childbirth Education Association of Greater Birmingham and the Parent Advocates -- Down Syndrome, Secretary of the Medical/Dental Staff at Children's Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at Shelby Medical Center. |
