Speech-Language Pathology at Lakeshore
The Children’s at Lakeshore Speech-Language Pathology staff provides diagnostic and rehabilitative speech-language services to maximize a child’s communicative potential so that individuals may better adapt to home, school, and social environments.
Services
Services are provided to children who require speech-language evaluations and therapy. Children who have experienced the following may benefit from Children’s at Lakeshore Speech-Language Pathology:
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Acquired Brain Injury
- Concussion
- Post inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine stay
- Difficulties with language, memory, cognition, and/or language processing therapy
Speech-Language Services include:
- cognitive rehabilitation (evaluation and therapy)
- speech
- language
- language processing
All patient referrals are made primarily by the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine physicians at Children's of Alabama following an inpatient rehabilitation stay or clinic appointment.
