Teacher

The Sunshine School Teacher serves as our Teacher and Education Liaison for Cardiovascular Services. Our teacher meets and assesses patients’ educational needs while inpatient and can help with transitioning home and/or re-entry into the classroom. Throughout a patient’s stay in the hospital, the teacher can collaborate with the patient’s school to provide communication and bedside school instruction, as medically appropriate. The teacher is available throughout the patient’s hospital admission to help with school needs and resources.
