Special Interests
Dr. Harris is an Assistant Professor and Director, Pediatric Research Bronchoscopy Program. Dr. Harris is an Assistant Professor and has a strong interest in Pediatric Airway Disease and leads both the Pediatric Aerodigestive and Pediatric Bronchoscopy programs. The Aerodigestive Program is a multidisciplinary program uniting Pediatric pulmonary, GI. and ENT expertise to provide better coordinated care. Dr. Harris also has a strong interest in the care cystic fibrosis (CF) with a focus on early disease intervention. Finally, Dr. Harris has a general pediatric pulmonology clinic where he sees children with respiratory diseases such as asthma, cough, croup, dysphagia, pneumonia, stridor, and wheezing. His interests include clinical and translational research exploring the association between airway inflammation and remodeling in chronic inflammatory diseases such as cystic fibrosis and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Dr. Harris lives in Homewood, AL with his lovely wife, Kathryn, and four children. He actively volunteers in his community, focusing on mentoring activities such as coaching youth sports and teaching Sunday School.
