Dr. Menendez attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate education, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in English Language and Literature. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, graduating as a member of the medical honorary Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was awarded the Joe LaRussa Intern of the Year Award during her first year of training. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She and her husband, Josh, have two boys.
