Dr. Timothy Beukelman is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the division of Pediatric Rheumatology at Children's of Alabama. He received his MD from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his Pediatric residency training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and his Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Beukelman is board-certified in Pediatric Rheumatology. He is a Fellow in the American College of Rheumatology and a member of the Society for Pediatric Research, International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance and Alabama Society for Rheumatic Diseases. His research interests include optimizing the treatment of juvenile idiopathic arthritis using various clinical methods including retrospective analyses of observational data, prospective observational data collection and analysis, quality improvement, decision analysis, and clinical trials.
