Dr. Peter Weiser is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the division of Pediatric Rheumatology. He earned his medical degree from Šafárik University in Košice, Slovak Republic and completed his Pediatric residency at the University of Buffalo, with additional research training at the University of Massachusetts and Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis. Weiser is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology. He is a member of the Alabama Society for Rheumatic Disease, American College of Rheumatology and Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance. His research and clinical interests include amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome, ultrasound use in pediatric rheumatology, and transition care from pediatric to adult practices.
