Special Interests
Dr. Law is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, University of Alabama at Birmingham; Section of Pediatric Cardiology. Primary interests are in the transcatheter management and evaluation of congenital cardiac disease. This includes utilizing less invasive technologies from closure of congenital heart defects to catheter implantation of pulmonary valves. The goal is to continuously improve the care children receive in the catheterization lab. Children's has developed ultrasound techniques for accurate placement of catheters to minimize the discomfort and trauma associated with the procedure and participates in the national IMPACT data registry to monitor our catheterization clinical outcomes, risks and complications.
