United Merchants Association of Alabama Shows Support to Children’s of Alabama

Birmingham, Ala.  (April 4, 2024) — Children’s of Alabama received a $10,000 donation from the United Merchants Association of Alabama (UMA) on Wednesday to help support programs and services at the hospital.

This donation is the result of fundraising efforts across the state of Alabama. For every purchase of the Pepsi family of brands, the association donated a portion of the proceeds, and donations were also collected at the register. In collaboration with Buffalo Rock, hundreds of convenience stores across the state participated in the fundraising effort.

“We continue to be amazed by the support of the United Merchants Association and Buffalo Rock through their annual fundraising campaign,” said Grace Graffeo, Community Development Coordinator at Children’s of Alabama. “Without our generous partners, we wouldn’t be able to provide the highest level of care to our patients."

 The UMA has donated $80,000 to Children’s since 2017.
