Inside Pediatrics Podcast

BESSEMER - Pediatrics West celebrated its 20-year anniversary as a Children’s of Alabama practice on June 1.

Pediatrics West was originally affiliated with Lloyd Noland Hospital and then HealthSouth Metro West. The practice was purchased by Children’s of Alabama in 2001. Today, Pediatrics West operates two offices, Bessemer and McAdory, serving patients ranging from newborns to 18-year-olds.

Pediatrics West Bessemer and McAdory currently consist of nine physicians, all of whom are board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Both offices perform comprehensive aspects of patient care including referrals, medication management, diagnostic tests, immunization administrations and other services. They look forward to continuing their expansion efforts in order to better care for the increasing population of the area.

Pediatrics West Bessemer and McAdory proudly received Patient Centered Medical Home certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in 2020. The NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home is a model of primary care that combines teamwork and information technology to improve care, improve patients’ experience of care and reduce costs.
