Children of Alabama Named to Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025

Children’s of Alabama announced today that it is recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025 by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group. Children’s is one of only nine employers in the state and 295 hospitals and health systems in the United States to make the list. Out of the 295 employers in health care, they are one of the seventeen children’s hospitals recognized. The Children’s of Alabama workforce is 86% female, including a majority 62% of the executive leadership team. 

Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group recognized companies with this award measured through a rigorous evaluation based on an assessment of publicly accessible data, discussions, interviews with HR professionals, and large-scale confidential online surveys conducted among employees from U.S. companies.

This award recognizes Children’s impact and commitment to delivering an equitable and favorable workplace for women.
