SAFE Kids Alabama
Mission Statement
The Safe Kids Alabama Campaign's mission is to prevent unintentional injury in Alabama children under 19 years of age. The campaign utilizes a multifaceted approach that includes: education, legislation, environmental modification and technologic application. The campaign also relies on epidemiologic data to guide and evaluate intervention strategies. The campaign builds grassroots involvement and catalyzes the corporate and private community to unit against unintentional injury. The campaign serves as the state resource for child passenger safety and other injury prevention activity.
Target Injury types: motor vehicle occupant, pedestrian, falls, poisoning, burns, drowning, choking and recreational sports.
