Special Interests
Dr. Nathan W. Ertel completed his undergraduate training at Emory University, followed by medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine. After finishing his residency at Pennsylvania Hospital where he served as Chief Resident, he completed his fellowship at Thomas Jefferson Hospital. Dr. Ertel then joined the Interventional Radiology faculty at UAB. Dr. Ertel is board certified in Radiology by The American Board of Radiology. Dr. Ertel strives to provide his patients with minimally invasive procedures for complex medical problems. He has a strong interest in Interventional Oncology, and enjoys working with other physicians to determine the best way to treat each individual patient.
